Trimming is the most underrated video operation because it is the only one that reduces file size without touching quality. Most clips have several seconds of nothing at each end: the fumble before recording starts properly, the reach for the stop button at the end. Cutting those is free.
The one technical wrinkle: fast trimming cuts at keyframes, which occur every few seconds, so your cut may land slightly off from where you asked. Frame-accurate trimming re-encodes that section to hit the exact point. Fast is fine for most purposes. ToolHub handles both.
