KYC and withdrawal problems: what causes them and how to fix each one

When a withdrawal does not arrive, the assumption is usually that the platform is withholding it. Sometimes that is true. Far more often it is one of seven specific, boring, fixable causes, and six of them you can resolve yourself faster than a support ticket would.

Here they are, ordered by how frequently they actually occur.

1. Name mismatch between UPI and KYC

This is the leading cause by a wide margin. If the name registered to your UPI handle differs from the name on your KYC documents, the payout is held automatically. Not delayed, held.

A middle name present on one and absent on the other is enough. An initial instead of a full name is enough. A different spelling is enough. IND9 Win lists this as the top rejection reason, which matches what support teams across this category report.

Fix: open your UPI app, check the registered name exactly as it appears, and use the same document for KYC. Correct the mismatch before you deposit, not after you win.

2. KYC incomplete rather than absent

Started is not finished. A common pattern is uploading one document, seeing "under review", and assuming the process completed. It did not, and the withdrawal will sit until it does.

Fix: check the actual KYC status in your account section, not your memory of having uploaded something. 3. Balance below the minimum withdrawal

5. Bonus playthrough not complete

If your balance includes bonus credit that has not met its playthrough requirement, the bonus-derived portion is not withdrawable yet. The platform is not taking your bonus, it has not unlocked.

Fix: read the playthrough condition in the promotions section. It is published, finite, and takes half a minute to check. If a platform keeps moving that requirement, that is a genuine red flag and a different problem.

6. Stale app build

This one is specific to apps outside the Play Store and it catches people out. Your phone will keep running a four-month-old build indefinitely, and eventually a server-side change breaks something in it, sometimes the wallet or payment flow specifically.

7. Payment rail outage
